Meeting the N.I.R. Group Members

One great way to get to know what a company is all about is to know more about its individual members. Yoel Goldfeder was appointed in 2008 as general counsel for the N.I.R. Group, a highly specialized investment management firm where Corey S. Ribotsky is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Goldfeder specializes in PIPE transactions and reverse mergers and has represented both small and large companies throughout his legal career.  As Corey Ribotsky said, “This strategic addition will support our continued growth within the expanding PIPEs market.”

Mr. Goldfeder was a member of the corporate and securities department of Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference LLP, the most active PIPE issuer law firm.

Corey Ribotsky’s Support of Children in Need

No one can underestimate the value of a charitable organization dedicated to the needs of sick children.  Corey Ribotsky is definitely someone who understands the need for such crucial work.  He is today the President of the Children’s Medical Fund (CMF) of New York.  This organization provides a substantial amount of financial aid for the Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park.  This hospital is a well-reputed hospital which diagnoses and treats patients.  The institute also engages in conducting research to improve the situation of seriously sick children and their needs.
The CMF works hard to raise money to carry out its important work.  Over $40,000 has been raised since the organization’s humble beginnings in 1966.  As well as serving as its President, Corey Ribotsky is involved in many of the hospital’s programs that seek to help both the patients and their families during what is often a very traumatic time.

Sunrise on Wheels

While some people have heard of Sunrise Day Camp, which provides camping opportunities for kids with cancer, less people are familiar with the amazing Sunrise on Wheels program.  This year-round outreach program is for children and their families in Outpatient Clinics.

Volunteers from Sunrise on Wheels come to the waiting room or playroom of the Pediatric Hematology or Oncology Clinic at Schneider Children’s Hospital with their rainbow tie-dye trunk.  Twice a week the volunteers bring toys, games, puzzles and projects to delight and entertain the children who are waiting for test results, doctor’s visits and so much more.

They provide these children and their families with card games, stickers, coloring books, crafts, and even internet-ready laptops, helping families in need to make it through a difficult experience.  This is one of the many programs that is made possible by the contributions of people like Corey Ribotsky and so many others.

Music to Help with Autism

The Heather on Earth Foundation is excited to be moving into a new area with its upcoming support of the Tender Care Human Services, Inc.  Tender Care Human Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides educational, behavioral, residential and recreational services to individuals with autism, pervasive developmental disorders and other developmental disabilities throughout the New York City area.

The Heather on Earth Music Foundation, with the generous help that they receive from so many, including Corey Ribotsky, will be helping with their music therapy programs and working to touch the lives of those who have autism, and those who deal with their autistic family members each day.
