Supporters of the Heather on Earth Music Foundation

Many fine companies and groups, such as Corey Ribotsky and the NIR Group, help to support the amazing work of the Heather on Earth Music Foundation.  One of their major supporters is Generation YM.  They explain their company as being on the cutting edge of reinventing the marketplace with new products. They are a firm of young minds who are dedicated to making it easy to learn and leverage technology in our 21st Century technology-based economy.

Through their support of the Heather on Earth Music Foundation, they help the non-profit organization to provide funding for music therapy programs in children’s hospitals throughout America and abroad.

CMF Check Presentation from Golf & Tennis Charity Classic

The CMF Annual Golf & Tennis Charity Classic was, once again, a great success.  Proceeds from the event went to the Pediatric Orthopedic Department at Cohen Children’s Medical Center.  This picture shows a number of people presenting Dr. Klein with the check from the charity event.  In this picture are Men’s Division President Neil Schorr, Managing Director Gina Segreti, Gold Honoree Arthur A. Klein, MD, and CMF Chairman David Blumenfeld.

Certainly, all of these people and many others, including CMF President Corey Ribotsky, helped to make the Gold & Tennis Charity Classic such a success.

Chocolate for a Cure & Other Creative Fundraising Ideas

LLS and donationsThe Leukemia & Lymphoma Society works tirelessly to create ways to raise money for cancer research.  Certainly, every donation that they receive from groups like the NIR Group and individuals like Corey Ribotsky, makes a difference.  Volunteers make a great difference as well.

One of their most creative fundraising efforts is called Chocolate for a Cure.  They sell delicious chocolate bars as a way to make a “sweet” difference in someone’s life who is fighting cancer.  You’ll receive 24 candy bars in each box and you’ll then be able to sell them to raise money to create more cancer research.

Inspiration from an Ordinary Family: LLS Stories

Leukeumia & Lymphoma SocietyIt’s hard to find a more inspirational story than this one.  On Sunday, October 17th, the Nike Women’s Half Marathon will take place in San Francisco, California to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  The money that is raised for this half marathon will help to stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma.

Team Nancy, with sisters Debbie, Barbie, Kathy, Pam, Tam and Tracy, is training for this half marathon in memory of their sister, Nancy Driscoll. Now, the six are training in their home towns and planning to meet up in San Francisco for the big race.

“Losing a sister or anyone to cancer is unacceptable not to mention painful and gut wrenching,” Tam says. “We want to stop cancer from taking more  lives and are taking action with this race. It’s a tough challenge, but having  our sister Nancy’s spirit and memory to fuel our feet and hearts is worth ever  step. We feel like we are making a difference in so many lives.”

This is one example of the many fundraising efforts that the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society puts together to help raise money for cancer research.  Donations from organizations like the NIR Group and Corey Ribotsky certainly help them to meet their goals, as do these amazing stories and efforts by individuals.
