Beating Cancer: Those Who Try to Help
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has been working for many years in the capacity of providing funds for blood cancer research as well as information and patient services. In what it does and the services it provides, it is globally the largest organization and is featured in the Survivorship Support Network. Businessman Corey Ribotsky, is a volunteer at the LLS.
Last week, over the Thanksgiving Day holiday celebration, Dorothy Hamil and Scott Hamilton got together to host the third annual Kaleidoscope FOX TV event, producing a spectacular combination of skating (Hamil and Hamilton are top skaters) music and, as recorded by the LLS report, “the brave message of survivorship to raise awareness of the key issues surrounding cancer.”
At the show, for the first time ever, various top figure skaters and Grammy Award winning musicians will be joining together. From Sinead and John Kerr to Patti LaBelle, Hunter Hayes to Kurt Browning and many more, it really was a show not to be missed that also had such a good cause and was thus so appropriately screened on Thanksgiving Day.
